Hinged Soundproof Doors
Soundproof doors are used when we want to interrupt the transfer of sound.
The requirements for soundproofing of door composites are classified in different types of use according to DIN 4109 (German standard).
They can be 28 dB, 32 dB, 39 dB or even 44 dB.
Measurement of sound insulation level
Sound insulation tests are carried out in leak-free test facilities. Sound is transmitted only through the door and not other elements such as walls, ceilings or gaps.
The result is obtained according to the German standard DIN 52210 at Rw = “sound insulation level in dB without transmission noise from side-by-side components”.
Classification in sound insulation classes is done according to VDI 3728.
